Allahabad, June 2 (UNI)The Allahabad High Court today directed the opening of the McDonald's outlet, owned by former prime minister V P Singh's son, which was sealed by Allahabad Development Authority (ADA) and the Nagar Nigam yesterday.

The order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices Anjani Kumar and S Ambawani on a writ petition of Ajay Singh and another.

The interim relief was granted to the petitioner when his counsel gave an undertaking in the court, that vehicles will be parked only at proper parking place.

The petitioner had prayed for directing respondents to remove the seal on McDonald's.

The petitioner claimed that yesterday the SHO Civil Lines alongwith officials of the Nagar Nigam and ADA barged into the outlet.

They allegedly abused the staff and customers present there and told them to immediately move out of the shop. Later, they sealed the shop.

However, the chief standing counsel and the Nagar Nigam counsel opposed the writ saying that action against the petitioner was taken on the basis of High Court direction in a PIL case.
