Grenades seized from militants supplied to Pakistan by Arges
Nagpur, Jun 2 (UNI) The hand grenades seized from militants, killed by police while attempting to blow up the RSS headquarters here yesterday, were marked with ''ARGES'', manufactured by a Australia based private company.
The company had also supplied similar marked handgrenades to Pakistan and same marked handgrenades were used by terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba while attempting to blow up the Parliament, Disclosing this at a press conference here, Commissioner of Police (CP) S P S Yadav today said investigations were being conducted on whether there was any inter-national, inter-state or intra-state connections with the terrorists.
Mr Yadav, who is supervising the investigation, said, the highly explosive materials and other documents seized from the the killed terrorists would help to establish possible link with other terrorists orgnisations. It was confirmed that all the three militants were Pakistani nationals.
Though Mr Yadav did not reveal the names of three militants, Mr Yadav has not denied the information from CBI sources that the three were identified as Afzal Ahmed Butt, Bilal AShmed Butt, both resident of Lahore and Mohammad Usman Habib,the resident of Gujranwala in Punjab province of Pakistan.
