Governor to lay foundation stone of Tennis court tomorrow
Mumbai, Jun 2 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will lay the foundation stone of an international quality Tennis Excellence Centre at the Kalina campus of the Mumbai University tomorrow.
According to an official release here today, the centre for excellence in tennis is being constructed and developed by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) at an approximate cost of Rs 30 crore.
The University is launching its 150th anniversary celebrations on July 18 with the visit of President A P J Abdul Kalam and it is the endeavour of the university and the AITA to complete at least a few tennis courts by then, the release said.
The Governor will also inaugurate the newly constructed building of the department of education at Kalina campus. The building will have facility for holding Bed and Med classes and is named as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Bhavan, the release added.
