German paedophile remanded to 14-day judicial custody

New Delhi, June 2 (UNI) A German paedophile, who was arrested from Samaipur Badli in northwest Delhi yesterday, was today remanded to 14-day judicial custody, police said.

Forty-year-old Henz was arrested yesterday for allegedly sodomising a 12-year-old boy in his home in Badli village.

''Heinz has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days,'' DCP Virendra Sawant said.

Henz, who came to India in March this year on a five-year visa, was caught sodomising the son of a patient currently being treated in the same hospital.

Police say Henz, working for an NGO, had befriended the boy in the hospital where his father had been admitted for the past 15 days.

On Wednesday night, he lured the boy into accompanying him to his home.

However, when Henz tried to sodomise the boy, he started crying which alerted Henz' neighbours who informed the police.

Heinz has been arrested and booked under section 377 IPC.
