Flesh trade racket busted; 30 arrested

Phagwara, Jun 2 (UNI) Police busted a sex and gambling racket and arrested 30 people, including three young girls, from a hotel in Phillaur last night.

All the accused were today produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Phillaur, who sent them to judicial custody till June 14. The hotel has been sealed, police here said.

The Police team, headed by Phillaur DSP Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, raided the hotel last night and nabbed nine youths and three young girls from a room on the charges of prostitution.

An amount of Rs 10 lakh allegedly being used for gambling was also seized, the police added.
