Fire destroys equipment worth crore

Hyderabad, June 2 (UNI) A fire, which broke out in the third floor of an eight-storeyed buiding in the busy Bashirbagh locality here gutted Rs three crore worth equipments including 20 computers, servers and furnitures today.

According to sources, the fire was spotted by the residents of a neighbouring building.

State minister for Information and Public Relations Md Ali Shabbir, who visited the spot said the fire accident was the result of non-compliance to certain safety rules.

He said the government had already identified thousand unsafe buildings in the city and would seal them if safety guidelines were not implemented properly.

The firemen had to battle it hard as the passage to the accident area was narrow.
