Engg student ends life

Chittoor, Jun 2 (UNI) A first year student of Kuppam Engineering College, commited suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room here yesterday.

Police sourses said, D Sailaja the 18 year old from Kadappa District, had taken the extreme step in the wake of her lecturer admonishing her for poor performance.

Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway. .
