Tirupati, June 2 (UNI) The district committee of CPI(M) today demanded the Andhra Pradesh government release a white paper on the multipurpose Special Economic Zone(SEZ) proposed to be set up near Sathyavedu in Chittoor district abutting the Kolkata-Chennai national highway five.

Addressing a press conference, CPI(M) district secretary K Murali said the government should come up with a white paper on the agreement made between promoters and the government for the SEZ.

He alleged that the government was planning to hand over the acqired 12,000 acres of land for SEZ to promoters.

He urged Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy to announce a clear cut strategy on the project during his visit to the district on June four.

Mr Murali said the Centre had given permission for 61 SEZs in the country but Sathyavedu was not mentioned in the selected list.
