Cop, homeguard jawans jailed for extortion

Pilibhit, June 2 (UNI) A policeman and five homeguard jawans were today sent to jail for extorting money from vehicle owners here.

Official sources said a police team led by additional police superintendent in civilian clothes last night caught the five accused red handed.

They used to extort money by erecting barriers for checking vehicles plying on the highway.
