Brother-sister duo charred in fire incident

Allahabad, June 2 (UNI) A brother-sister duo were burnt to death and nine others received injuries, when a fireworks shop caught fire in Handia market, about 45 kms from here today.

Police said Saira Bano (35) was cooking food when the domestic gas cylinder burst and flames engulfed the entire shop.

Saira and her brother, who had come from Ahraura in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh, died on the spot.

The fire brigade reached the spot and put off the blaze.

The injured had been admitted to hospital, where the condition of some of them was stated to be critical.
