BJP will form Telangana at any cost: Rajnath

Mahbubnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 2 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh today said his party will form a Telangana state immediately after it comes to power in the state and at the Centre.

Speaking at a public meeting marking 'Telangana Betrayal Day' in protest against the Congress Government's 'indifferent' attitude to the issue, Mr Singh said the BJP was committed to forming small states as was evident from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttaranchal which were formed during the NDA Government rule.

Stating the BJP would have an alliance only with parties supporting Telangana, he alleged the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and Congress had been cheating the people of the region by implementing policies which were against their interests.

He said the BJP would take steps to form Telangana within four months of coming to power.
