Azad visists Khir Bhawani

Srinagar, Jun 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today visited the Khir Bhawani temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal area, about 30 km from here, and took stock of the arrangements made for pilgrims during the annual festival.

''Zeishta Ashtami'', popularly known as Mela Khir Bhawani, would be held on June 4 and thousands of pilgrims were expected to attend the festival.

The Chief Minister also inspected the 'yatri' complex where 54 one-room tenements, eight dormitories and sanitation units were being constructed for pilgrims.

He also inspected bathing 'gaths' and water stream running though the complex area and directed the authorities concerned to take all measures in making the shrine area more beautiful.

Minister of State for Roads and Buildings Gulchain Singh Charak and other senior officials accompanied Mr Azad.
