ACC records 15.22 lakh cement despatches for May'06

Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) Associated Cement Companies Ltd (ACC) has for the month of May posted cement despatches of 15.22 lakh tonnes as compared to 15.24 lakh tonnes in the same month last year.

Informing BSE, the company said its cement production during the month under review stood at 15.63 lakh tonnes as compared to 15.65 lakh tonnes in May 2005.

Cumulatively, cement despatches for January-May 2006 period stood at 81.13 lakh tonnes as compared to 75.43 lakh tonnes in the comparable period of the previous year, while cement production stood at 81.45 lakh tonnes against 81.13 lakh tonnes in January - May 2005.
