Top BJP leaders to visit Jammu for sathyagraha from June seven

Jammu Jun 1 (UNI) Top BJP leaders including former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, are likely to visit the state in connection with party's week long ''satyagraha'' from june 7 here to protest against increasing terrorist activities in jammu and kashmir.

State unit persident Dr Nirmal Verma, confirming the participation of top leadership of party, told UNI that each day of satyagraha will witness prominent leaders of the party taking part in the agitation. He said the party's former national president M Venkaiah naidu will visit the city on June 7 followed by former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, General Secretaries Thabar Chand Gehlot and O P Mathur, former union ministers Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Anant Kumar, Sushma Swaraj and Dr Murli Manohar Joshi.

Besides, the former Chief Ministers, various other leaders of the party from several states, including all legislators, lok sabha and rajya sabha members, would participate in the programme.

Dr Verma said that Mr Vinay Katiyar, National General Secretary of the party, will come here shortly to finalise programme of satyagraha and participation of party leaders during a meeting with the state executive.
