Teacher to showcase football history through stamps

Kottayam, Jun 1 (UNI) A Book showing the history of Football since Olympics in 1986 through stamps will be published by a school teacher in Vandanmedu.

Jose J Vattoth has an impressive collection of postage stamps issued on the Olympics from 1986.

Announcing his endeavour to newspersons here today he said the 1986 Mexico World Cup Football (Soccer) tournament aroused his interest in watching the game and the immaculate playing skills of Maradona had him spellbound.

The first Football stamp in his collection is of the 1986 World Cup issued by India.

The book carries stamps showing the most thrilling and exciting moments of game in World Cups, great players, stadiums.

''Pen books would publish the book this week,'' Vattoth said.
