SriLankan Airlines launches special football World Cup packages

Mumbai, Jun 1 (UNI) With only eight days to go far the football World Cup in Germany, Sri Lankan Airlines today launched the lowest fares amongst all international airlines to Frankfurt at Rs 20,530.

The fare was not inclusive of taxes, a release here said, adding, Sri Lankan Airlines would also allow the customer to avail of a free stopover in Colombo including accomodation at an exquisite hotel with sumptuous Sri Lankan meals.

The passenger would also be presented with phenomenal discount vouchers on flight which could be redeemed at shopping spa's like ODEL, Dilmah, Mango Tree, Lakpahana and Zam Gems.

Dimuthu Tennakoon, Manager, Sri Lankan Airlines for Maharashtra and Gujarat was quoted in the release as saying that Sri Lankans are avid sports enthusiasts and always try to promote their sporting culture.

He added said that with a cult game like football, SriLankan Airlines has made sure to provide the best fares to the devout football fans here for the World Cup.
