Six dead, four injured in house collapse in Gurgaon

Gurgaon, June 1 (UNI) Six people were killed and four injured when the roof of an under-construction house, near sector nine here collapsed.

Police sources said the incident occurred at 0200 hrs last night when the roof of the second floor of the house, where a five-member family and six others were staying on rent, collapsed after the lentel put up for the construction of the third storey, gave way.

While four members of the family - husband, wife and two sons, died in the incident, the third son escaped unhurt. Of the six others staying on rent, two died while four others were injured, police said.

The injured have been admitted to a civil hospital. A case has been registered under section 304 of the IPC against the owner of the house Azad Singh for irregularities in construction.
