New Delhi, June 1(UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the listing on June 5 of a petition filed by CBI director Vijay Shanker challenging Jharkhand High Court order directing him to be personally present to explain whether he has ego clash with the court when the CBI chief failed to appear personally to give some explanations to the court in animal husbandry scandal case.

A vacation bench comprising Justices Arijit Pasayat and C.K. Thakker fixed the date of hearing after additional solicitor general Gopal Subramanium mentioned the matter for getting it listed for hearing as the next date of hearing in the high court was in the second week of June.

Earlier the apex court bench told the ASG to go and tell the high court that there was no ego clash with that court.

The CBI Chief is seeking directions from the apex court to expunge the remarks of the high court whether he was having any ego clash with the court.

On the last date of hearing public prosecutors and other CBI officers including additional director general appeared but the petitioner failed to appear personally despite the high court directions to him to appear personally in the case to explain the slow pace in the investigaion into the scandal.
