Ruby Cricket Club of Amritsar beat Agra's Stadium XI

Patiala, June 1 (UNI) Ruby Cricket Club, Amritsar, defeated unfancied Stadium X1, Agra, by six wickets in the 8th Annual Hot Weather cricket tournament (Under-13) at the MES Ground here today.

The Agra team won the toss and elected to bat first. In 27.3 overs Stadium X1 was bundled out for a meager total of 93. Amit with 28 was the only player to withstand the onslaught of Ruby Cricket Club bowlers.

Vinay bowled a tight length to capture 4 wickets for just 9 runs, Akash was equal to the task bagging 2 for 9.

In reply, Ruby Cricket Club overhauled the Stadium X1 total in only 21.5 overs. Akash with 37 Not Out and Abhishek with 18 Not Out hammered the Stadium X1 bowlers to take RCC to victory.

In another match played at the Yadavindra Public School (YPS) ground, YPS defeated Kanpur Nursery, Kanpur, by five wickets. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. The team was bundled out for only 122 runs in 36.3 overs. Shubham Gupta with 26 and Arora with 27 were the only batsmen who played with some confidence. Rest of the Kanpur Nursery batsmen fell like nine pins against some tight bowling. Rajeshwar Singh took 3 for 13 in 8 overs, while Ayush Goyal took 3 for 20 in 6.3 overs.

YPS, in reply, scored 124 for 5 in 33.4 overs to chalk out a fine victory for YPS. Rajeshwar Singh with 24, R.Kashyap with 24 and Karan Sidhu with 21 runs were the main run getters. Rishab Jaiswal took 2 for 30 in 8 overs.
