Rajnath condemns terrorist bid to blow up RSS HQ
New Delhi, June 1: Condemning the terrorist bid to blow up RSS headquarters at Nagpur, BJP President Rajnath Singh today said that it was ''an attempt to target'' the nation's biggest social, cultural and patriotic organisation.
In a statement, Mr Singh said the terrorist attack was aimed to frighten the majority community by targetting the RSS headquarters.
"While I commend the courage with which the Maharashtra Police foiled the attempts, but unless the UPA government stops pursuing its weak and compromising policies that emboldened the morale of terrorists, the security forces will be putting their lives under heavy risks. The Centre should view these attacks in entirety and deal firmly with the forces inimical to Indian interests,'' he said.
The BJP President said that after the UPA Government came to power ''the Hindu and Sikh population in Jammu were targetted after clearing these population from the Kashmir valley. They even did not spare BJP's peaceful protests against the genocide in Doda. They carried out the attacks in Srinagar even when the Prime Minister was present in the Valley.'' The terrorists had carried out their attacks on cultural and religious centres like Ayodhya and Varanasi, he pointed out.
