Park Ji-sung likely to play in friendly Vs Norway

SEOUL, June 1: South Korea midfielder Park Ji-sung has shaken off an ankle injury and should play in a World Cup warm-up match against Norway in Oslo today.

The Manchester United player hurt himself in practice at Rangers' training ground in Glasgow where South Korea have been based before travelling to Germany for the tournament.

''I feel good and there is nothing preventing me from playing,'' Park was quoted as saying by the Ilgan Sports Newspaper.

Kim Hyun-chul, the team's head physician, had given Park the green light to play in Norway, the paper said.

South Korea also have a warm-up against Ghana in Edinburgh on June 4 before leaving for Germany on June 6.

The 2002 semi-finalists face France, Switzerland and Togo in Group G, with their opening game against the African side on June 13.
