New Delhi CS R Narayanaswami meets Delhi Assembly Speaker

New Delhi, Jun 1 (UNI) Mr R Narayanaswami who has taken over as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi, today called on Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh.

It was a courtesy call to the constitutional authority after assuming office yesterday, an official statement said.

Mr Narayanaswami had taked over from Mr S Regunathan, who superannuated yesterday.

A 1971 batch IAS officer, Mr Narayanaswami was Principal Home Secretary, Delhi and had been moved to the Centre before he got the new assignment.

Meanwhile, Mr Regunathan was tipped to be appointed Chairman of Delhi government's Special Purpose Vehicle that had been given the task to provide the national capital a world-class transport system.
