LG sends off 1st batch of Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims

New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi has flagged off the first batch of 40 people going for the Kailash Mansarovar yatra.

Stating Delhi government was committed to enhance facilities for the pilgrims, Mr Joshi said a proposal to enhance cash assistance to the Kailash Mansarovar devotees from Delhi government's side was under consideration, an official statement said today.

Delhi government's Tirth Yatra Vikas Samiti made boarding and lodging arrangements of the pilgrims from all over the country at the national capital and also organised send-off functions wherein customary gifts and other useful things were provided to the pilgrims.
