Gavaskar extends innings with ESPN STAR Sports

New Delhi, Jun 1 (UNI) Sunil Gavaskar will continue to commentate for ESPN STAR Sports till 2008 after the broadcaster extended his contract today.

''I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the 'Few Good Men' and I am delighted to continue my relationship with one of the most professional sports networks in the world,'' Gavaskar said in a release here.

As per the contract, Gavaskar will commentate on cricket matches being televised by the channel and will also continue as an expert panellist on cricket related programming on the network.

In addition, Gavaskar will also be making publicity and promotional appearances for the channel's advertising and marketing efforts for the next two years.

''We are delighted to extend our relationship with Sunil. An integral part of 'Few Good Men','' ESPN Managing Director RC Venkateish said.

''Sunil has enriched the art of cricket commentary and delighted cricket fans across the world like he used to with his batting throughout his distinguished career,'' he added.
