Collector's directive to political parties

Pondicherry, Jun 1 (UNI) Pondicherry District Collector Theva Neethi Das today directed political parties and individuals who had errected cut outs,banners and posters in the town to remove it before 1700 hrs tomorrow in view of the model code of conduct for Local body elections currently in force here.

In a statement here today, Mr Das said if the persons' failed to do so, they would be removed by the municipal staff and the expenses incurred would be included in their account. They would also be punished, he said.
