Kanpur, June 1 (UNI) The Forum of Indians against Reservation (FIR) is exploring the possibility of a judicial review by the Supreme Court of the 104th constitutional amendment on the proposed 27 per cent quota for the OBCs in higher education.

FIR, which is spearheading the anti-quota movement, today consulted the Kanpur Bar Association in this regard.

It has decided to discuss the issue with the students of other institutions before taking any final decision.

As the SC is already reviewing the quota proposal by the Centre, the FIR could simultaneously urge the apex court in this regard, a Forum spokesman said here.

Meanwhile, the 'chain hunger-strike' by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) students entered its fifth day.

According to striking IITians, they were getting overwhelming support from intellectuals including advocates, and students of other technological institutes.

So far, the students have completed 96 hrs of hunger-strike and it would continue till the proposals were withdrawn, striking students asserted.

On the other hand, junior medicos of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College, who were on indefinite strike, had joined their duties on the SC directive.

However, they have decided to continue their agitation against the decision of the central government.
