FA president Prince William to watch England game
LONDON, May 31: Prince William, second-in-line to the British throne, will travel to Germany to watch England's opening World Cup game against Paraguay on June 10 in his new role as president of the Football Association (FA).
A spokeswoman for Clarence House, the office of Prince William's father Prince Charles, said William would attend the match in Frankfurt.
She said he would meet England fans at the stadium and local dignitaries but it was not yet known whether he would meet the players during his trip.
William succeeded his uncle Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, as FA president earlier this month.
He attended his first event when he presented the trophy and the players' medals at the FA Cup final in Cardiff.
After Paraguay, England will face Trinidad&Tobago and Sweden in their World Cup group stage.
