Pravin Mahajan's judicial custody extended till June 14

Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) A local court have today extended the judicial custody of Pravin Mahajan, the accused of murdering his elder brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan till June 14.

The local Boiwada Court today extended his custody, though neither was Pravin present nor was their video conferencing which could not be done as the system failed due to the technical fault.

However Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate A Waghmare extended the custody following prosecution's remand application, which contended that investigation were still going on, and hence they needed extension in the judicial custody.

The court, while extending Praveen's custody, directed the police to physically produce the accused on his next date of remand.

However the court today adjourned, till June 8, the hearing of the two application moved by Pravin's counsel A N Rajulker seeking court directive to initiate a judicial enquiry for a psychiatric medical check up of the accused.
