No VAT on sale of second hand cars in Punjab

Chandigarh, May 31 (UNI) The Punjab government today decided not to levy VAT on sale of secondhand cars in the state.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the state Cabinet held here today. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh chaired the meeting.

Until now VAT at the rate of four per cent was levied on sale of second hand cars in Punjab.
