Muslim Morcha stages 'dharna' demanding reservation

Lucknow, May 31 (UNI) All India United Muslim Morcha (AIUMM) today staged a 'dharna' in front of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha here demanding reservation and other benefits to the community.

Later, the Morcha handed over a memorandum to the prime minister throught the Lucknow district magistrate.

The memorandum said of the 27 per cent quota proposal for the OBCs, nine per cent be reserved for backward Muslims and another nine per cent for the most backwards among the other communities.

It demanded that the creamy layer among the backward Muslims be identified by a commission and included in another 10 per cent reservation.
