Srinagar, May 31 : Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) has produced a challan against three government officials before the court of special judge anti-corruption.

A VO spokesman said the officials Mohammad Afzal Rather, Nazir Ahmad Hamdaniand Mufti Barkat Ali had shown fictitious purchase of food items for Rs 1,99,995 in the year 1997-98.

The food items were meant for supplementing the nutrition of the children of poor families of block Hajin in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

He said during investigation, the allegations against the accused have been proved and a challan was produced in the court.
