IT conducts massive raid on builders and jewellers in Vadodara

Vadodara, May 31 (UNI) The Income Tax department today conducted massive raids with a view to recovering ill-gotten wealths of some of the prominent builders, jewellers and transporters here.

Official sources said the raids were being carried out simultaneously at about 20 places in Vadodara city, Waghodia Road, Pavi-Jetpur and Bharuch.

More than 200 sleuths of the IT department were conducting raids in offices, shops and residences of the alleged offenders, their relatives and business partners. The operation is expected to continue till tomorrow, the sources said.
