Discharge petition of MP R K Rana rejected

Patna, May 31 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Munilal Paswan today rejected the discharge petition of RJD MP R K Rana and his wife Naina Rana in a Disproportionate Assetes (DA) case, an offshoot of multi- crore fodder scam of Bihar.

According to the charges, Mr Rana had amassed wealth worth Rs two crore which was disproportionate to his all known sources of income from 1990 to 1994 and from 1995 to 1996. As per the chargesheet, Ms Rana abetted her husband in this crime.

The designated judge fixed June 12 next the date for framing charges against both the accused directing them to present in the court physically on the date fixed for the purpose.
