Steve Waugh to judge talent hunt for next Indian cricket star

Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) After being the mentor of several young players in the Australian team, former captain Steve Waugh will now help in finding the next Indian cricket star by judging a nationwide talent hunt.

The hunt, which will kick off in November, will be shown as a reality show on television.

The contest would be open to players from across the nation, a release issued here today stated.

The nationwide search will culminate in the selection of a group of top contenders and will identify a single cricket star through an elimination process, who will get a chance to play with the leading players.

A battery of ex-international and national cricket stars will work in conjunction with Waugh as jury members.
