Putin, Bush favour international efforts to resolve Iran 'N' issue
Moscow, May 30 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President George Bush held telephonic talks today and called for further strengthening international efforts to settle the Iran nuclear issue.
''Both leaders spoke in favour of making further international efforts in the interests of resolving the Iranian nuclear problem,'' the Kremlin press service said.
The two Presidents also exchanged opinions on ways to ''fine-tune'' West Asia peace process, it added.
The discussion took place ahead of the meeting of representatives of five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany, in Vienna on June 1 on Iran's nuclear programme.
