Life convict dies of cardiac arrest

Tiruchirapalli, May 30: A 40-year-old life convict died due to Cardiac arrest at the Central Prison, here today.

Police said the deceased R Rajendran, hailing from Panaveli village near Thiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district was awarded life term in connection with a murder case.

He complaned of chest pain and was rushed to the government hospital.

However, he was declared brought dead by the doctors at the hospital.
