India Jr drub Pakistan 4-0 in Men's U-21 hockey tourney

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Indian colts began their campaign in style as they thrashed arch rivals Pakistan 4-0 in the eight-nation Junior Men's (U-21) Challenge hockey tournament at Gniezno, Poland.

Indians enjoyed the upper hand throughout the match with the forwards putting constant pressure on the opponents' goal and defenders not conceding even a single penalty corner, according to information received here today.

Drag flicker Raghunath put India in the lead in the 16th minute through a penalty corner conversion. Roshan Minz (25th minute) and captain V Raja (27th minute) scored two field goals to put India 3-0 ahead in the half time. Raghunath rounded off the tally in the second half through another successful penalty corner hit.

India now play their second match against Czech Republic.
