Hero Honda Q4 profit up by 29 per cent at Rs 267.19 cr

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Hero Honda Motors today announced that the net profit for its fourth quarter ending March 31,2006 stood at Rs 267.19 crore as compared to Rs 207.11 crore for the same period last year registering a growth rate of 29 per cent.

The company's board of directors declared a dividend of Rs 20 per share.

The total turnover of Hero Honda for the quarter ending March 31, 2006 stood at Rs 2,298.91 crore as compared to Rs 1,976.09 crore for the corresponding quarter last year achieving a growth rate of 17 per cent.

The Earnings Per Share (EPS) of the company grew by 29 per cent from Rs 10.37 for Q4 06 to Rs 13.38 in the corresponding quarter last year.

It also registered a net profit of Rs 971.34 crore for the current fiscal as compared to Rs 810.47 crore last year at a growth rate of 20 per cent.

The total turnover for FY 2006 stood at Rs 8866.71 crore as compared to Rs 7558.55 crore registering a growth of 17 per cent.

The EPS for the current fiscal grew by 20 per cent to Rs 48.64 from Rs 40.59 last year.
