Arch rivals Lalu, Paswan share dais at Jan Morcha rally

Lucknow, May 30 (UNI) Arch political rivals and fellow union ministers, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan today shared the dais at a rally organised by former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh.

The two, who shared a common platform after a long gap, acknowledged each others' presence in their speeches.

The Bihar stalwarts spoke at length on the burning issue of quota and supported Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh's move to introduce OBC reservation in institutions of higher learning.

Jan Morch a leaders said it was their achievement that they could make the two speak from the same forum. ''People said they cannot share the same stage...we have managed that,'' a leader told the gathering.
