17 cr jackpot winner to get prize money in 3 months
Kolkata, May 30 (UNI) JaiPrakash Jaiswal winner of the Rs 17 crore Playwin jackpot, is now in a confused state not knowing what to do with the prize money which he will get within three months.
''He would get the money within 45 to 90 days. Jaiswal completed the formalities yesterday and we have sent the documents to the Sikkim government,'' Pan India Network Infravest assistant manager (sales) Aniruddha Basu told UNI today. Infravest markets the online lottery on the Sikkim government's behalf.
Jaiswal submitted his proof of identification, affidavit of his photo and signature to us yesterday and we have forwarded his claim to the Sikkim government today,'' he said.
Meanwhile, JaiPrakash's relative Ranjit Jaiswal told UNI that ''Jaiswal is little worried. He wants to stay away from public until he gets the prize money in his hand.'' Jaiswal is also tensed about his security, which is another reason for staying away from public, Ranjit said, adding that his uncle did not ask for any security from Kolkata police.
The small-time iron scrap dealer from Kolkata has been living here for last 40 years. He spent his early years in Azamgarh, UP.
Playwin Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Das yesterday, announced that Jaiswal had won the lottery.
Playwin, a joint venture of Sikkim government and Playwin, launched its electronic lottery a few years back. The draws are shown through television every week.
