TDP gaining status in national politics: Naidu
Rajahmundry, May 29 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu today said the three-day 'Mahanadu' was historic as the party, which was entering into the silver jubilee year had not only got special status in national and state politics but also brought about many changes.
Addressing the gathering on the concluding day, Mr Naidu said the TDP which came to power in Andhra Pradesh within nine months of its formation was playing a vital role in the national politics and gaining special status.
Stating that 24 resolutions on various aspects were passed in the conference, the TDP chief said the problems of farmers, welfare of poor people and empowerment of women were on the priority agenda of the party.
Though the Congress ruled the country even after carrying out economic reforms, the problems of poor and the farmers continued, he said and called upon the party cadres to think of doing more activities in the 25th year. He said all the suggestions made in the conclave would be taken up by the party.
