Suresh Productions invest USD 3 Million in FXLabs
Hyderabad, May 29 (UNI) Leading videogame development and production company FXLabs Studios Pvt Ltd today secured USD three million in new funds from Hyderabad-based Suresh Productions (SP), India's leading film production house to facilitate the company's plans for expansion.
Talking to newspersons SP Managing Director Suresh Daggubati here said the Indian production house was looking forward to bringing a wide array of contacts and properties to help the company 'realize its full potential in the global video-gaming market.
"The SP with 35 % stake in FXLabs had already shortlisted five to six Indian firms for production, he said.
FXLabs CEO Tony Garcia said they intended to utilise the broad range of assets and talents of their Indian partner to deliver 'some of the best and most compelling game products yet seen on the PC and videogame platforms'.
FXLabs is in production of two world-class videogame products 'Inferno' and 'Archie's Riverdale Run'. Inferno, is an action-horror game with players against the denizens of the underworld. It is being developed at FXLabs production facility in Hyderabad and is scheduled for completion on the PC platform at the end of the year.
Archie's Riverdale Run brings the world of Archie comics to life in 3D for the very first time. Players can select from any number of their favourite Archie characters and explore the town of Riverdale, using a variety of vehicles and solving numerous puzzles and challenges.
It will be available for both the PC and Xbox and is expected in early 2007.
