Select metal price up on fresh industriaL demand
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) Select metal prices rose on fresh industrial demand, traders at the metal exchange here today said.
In the ferrous section, rates of copper utensils, brass utensils and brass cuttings rose by Rs 500 each per quintalwhile copper heavy increased by Rs 300 per quintal on lesser stock supply.
In the non-ferrous segment, copper wire bars and zinc slab hiked by Rs 500 and Rs 300 per quintal respectively on increase of fresh demand.
Nickel cathode prices went up by Rs 20 per kg, on better buying support.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 38,000, copper utensils - Rs 32,000, brass utensils - Rs 22,000, brass cuttings - Rs 24,500, aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 41,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,300, zinc slab - Rs 19,000, lead ingots - Rs 6,700, tin slab - Rs 485 (per kg), nickel cathode - Rs 1,150 (per kg).
