Pakistani kidnapped in Iraq, govt in touch with embassies
Islamabad, May 29 (UNI) Pakistan has launched diplomatic efforts through its embassies in Kuwait and Jordan to trace its national, who was kidnapped last week in Iraq.
''The government has also approached the Iraqi embassy officials in Pakistan to get the details on kidnapping of the Pakistani national and remains in touch with them,'' foreign ministry spokesman Sohail Mehmood said here.
He said, ''We are making efforts to ascertain the facts regarding kidnapping of Shafiq from Faluja in Iraq.'' ''The government of Pakistan will utilise all diplomatic means to trace the Pakistani,'' said the Spokesman.
