Manipur rivers on the verge of crossing danger level
Imphal, May 29 (UNI) The threat of floods loomed large over Manipur as many rivers neared the danger level following incessant rains over the last three days.
Met officials, however, said the Imphal, Nambul and Iril rivers had not crossed the danger level but warned that floods were not ruled out if the rains continued.
Met sources said the rainfall recorded till noon today was about 44.2 mm and predicted more downpour in the next few days.
The maximum temperature recorded today so far was 24.1 degree Celsius and minimum was 19.9 degree Celcius.
