K'taka to have premier institute for Medical Sciences
Udupi, May 29 (UNI) Karnataka's long-cherished dream of having a premier Institute for Medical Sciences like the one in New Delhi will soon become a reality, Medical Education Minister V S Acharya said today.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the Rs 120 crore project would come up in Mangalore. While the Centre had agreed to contribute Rs 100 crore for the project, the state government would provide the remaining amount.
The proposed Institute would have all facilites, including a medical, dental and nursing college. The entire plan would be conceived within the next one year and exectured within three years, he added.
