Jaju's anticipatory bail plea order adjourned till tomorrow
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) A sessions court here today adjourned the anticipatory bail plea order of Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra's former secretary Prakash J Jaju till tomorrow, as the applicant remained absent before the court today.
An adjournment application was moved before Additional Sessions Judge A T Vaidya by the applicant's counsel. The court, while adjourning the order, directed the applicant to be present in the court tomorrow.
Jaju had filed an anticipatory bail application before the sessions court on May 24, fearing arrest on a complaint lodged by Priyanka's father Ashok Chopra on May 22, for allegedly issuing threatening calls to the Chopra family and sending vulgar messages to his daughter Priyanka.
Jaju prayed in his application that the FIR has been registered against him maliciously and only to take revenge and humiliate him.
He said a case, filed against Priyanka in Andheri Metropolitan court in 2004 for breach of contract, is still pending as she had not paid his Rs 1.34 crore remuneration, during his secretarial service provided to the actress for the past four-year period.
