HM visiting Singapore to enhance Indo-Singapore co-operation
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Home Minister Shivraj Patil is leaving for Singapore tonight on a three-day official visit aimed to enhance co-operation in bilateral security matters.
The Home Minister will hold delegation-level talks tomorrow with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs of Singapore Wong Kan Seng.
During the visit the purpose of which is to develop closer ties with Singapore, the Home Minister will call on Singapore President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He will also meet Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law S Jayakumar.
Mr Patil will be accompanied by a five-member team of officials.
