Gokaldas Exports' FY-06 net vaults 54 pc, dividend up 30 pc

Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) India's largest apparel exporter, Gokaldas Exports has registered a sharp upswing of 54 per cent in its net profit at Rs 60.88 crore for FY-06, as against Rs 39.58 crore in FY-05.

A release issued here today said the company's total income during the period registered a 23.33 per cent growth at Rs 888 crore from Rs 720 crore in FY-05.

The board of the company has recommended a higher dividend of 30 per cent for FY-06, as compared to 20 per cent for FY-05.

The company's expansion programme at Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysore and Bangalore is progressinbg smoothly, the release said, adding that the Chennai SEZ factory is under construction and would be commissioned this fiscal.
