New Delhi, May 29:Four Indan kids have won themselves a chance to be FIFA flagbearers at this year's World Cup in Germany after a nationwide search spanning 1200 schools.
Shreshth Shah from Kolkata, Delhiite Ajiteshwar Singh, Mumbaikar Sachit Kamlesh Yadav and PS Sudarshan from Bangalore were selected on the basis of passion, skill and knowledge of the game among the children who registered for the contest organised by ESPN STAR Sports and Adidas.
The four winners will now go for an all expenses paid two nights and three days return trip to Germany for watching one match during the World Cup.
''They will also get a chance to stand with their heroes and listen to 60,000 people sing the National anthems of the participating teams. Being a footballer, I can vouch for the excitement one feels standing with their favorite stars at the centre of a football pitch,'' Mahindra United's Brazilian import Jose Ramirez Barretto said after announcing the winners.
The winners will be flying to Germany on June 20 and will be joined by children from across the globe.
